Pretty in Yellow

I'm going to a wedding in France this summer and I can't decide what to wear.
My dad isn't clear on the dress code and my only contact is a boy cousin who doesn't understand. (And not just because my french is a bit rusty)

I think I've decided on what to wear though.
A cute yellow, lace sundress that I wore to a wedding last summer.

I think it's adorable, but I've heard that some European weddings are extremely formal... As in, dig through my closet and break out the floor-length gowns type of formal.
Who knows...
Certainly not my dad.

At any rate, here are the rest of the pictures of my friend's and I causing shenanigan's at the wedding.

P.S. They had a photo booth!! I think we definitely went a little overboard with the accessories...

Sadly, it wasn't exactly a "happily ever after" ending for the two of them, but at least they had a lovely wedding...
I wish them all the best.

Feeling a Little Blue

But definitely not down in the dumps.
It's finally here! I've waited for 90 degree weather and, although the weatherman predicts April showers by the end of the weekend, I don't care!
I got to wear a sundress today and I couldn't be more tickled pink.

I accessorized my pretty, blue sundress with my gold-leaf, snap-on bracelet from Forever 21.
It was one of the best purchases I've ever made.

I've been on an earring kick ever since Easter and found these little gems hidden in back of my jewelry box. So I dusted off the cobwebs and put 'em to good use.

This is one of my favorite purses that I own. I have fallen in love with the feminine look of cross-body bags, but they never seem to fit half of what I need in them.
This cross-body bag fits everything! Okay, maybe not everything... but a good deal more than the other cross-body bags I own.

Maybe if I close my eyes and wish hard enough, I wont have to break out the rain coat and umbrella on Sunday.
If only everything was that easy...

Natural Beauty

Over the past few months I've been dealing with my insecurities and covering them up with make-up.
In the spirit of trying to overcome my silly little flaw (My insecurity, not my appearance) I went to school in sweatpants from Victoria's Secret's PINK brand and no make-up whatsoever.

And you know what? I felt pretty damn cute.

Now if only I had a better camera on my phone to capture it with... or an actual camera that wasn't dead.

New Earrings!

As I mentioned before, the Easter Bunny was very kind to me on Easter Sunday in such a way that permitted me to grow my wardrobe.
After I left the mall empty handed on Wednesday, I went online and purchased 3 blouses, a necklace, a pair of shorts, and a pairs of earrings from forever21.com. Although I'm pretty stoked about all of my new clothes, I'm particularly excited about my new earrings. I've had my ears pierced since I was 7 years old, but I rarely ever take advantage. I don't hate wearing earrings or anything like that, it's simply because I have a hard time finding pairs that I like.

I scored big with this pair.

The best part? They're super affordable!
Cute and cheap, the perfect combination. Forever 21 does it again.

Throwback Thursday, Part 3

Now that Easter is over and my pockets are a bit heavier thanks to the Easter Bunny, I have shopping on the brain. Surprise, surprise.

Yesterday, my debit card and I wandered around the mall and eventually ended up at Nordstrom. Whilst there, I happened to pass by the dress department and noticied it was already stocked with this season's  prom dresses. I found myself making my way over to let my fingers slide through the beautiful chiffon and silk gowns because, let's face it, I couldn't help myself. At that moment I not longer had shopping on the brain, but nostalgia. I really miss going to the mall with my friends to pick out the perfect floor-length gown that I would dance the night away in.

Therefore, I am dedicating my 3rd Throwback Thursday post to my high school dances and my gorgeous dresses. All 5 of them.

My dresses are currently collecting dust in the back of my closet; however, the memories will live on... and on and on and on.

Me and My Closet

Although I am aching for the sun to rear it's warm head, I have to admit that I'm going to miss the cool weather for one reason and one reason only: the fashion. Scarves are my favorite accessory to wear, but unfortunately they look ridiculous in the 95 degree Southern California summers. Therefore, I feel the need to take advantage of my collection whenever I can.

Today was no exception.

I paired my brown scarf, blue jeans, cream tank top, and green cardigan with my new brown ankle boots that I purchased for $9 at Buffalo Exchange on Second Street in Long Beach. Since the boots were originally priced at $35, I quite literally feel as though I stole them from the unsuspecting store.

The last noteworthy piece of my outfit today is my Kate Spade Gramercy Mini watch. I just got it a few weeks ago at Bloomingdale's and I'm in love. My wrist is extremely tiny and most watches look far too bulky on my small frame. This watch, on the other hand, fits perfectly. It's extrememly feminine and by my all time favorite designer: Kate Spade.

And what girl in the middle of a photo shoot can resist a selfie? I know I can't...

Excuse the conceit.

Rescue Me, Please

When I have the time, I mosey on down to Rescue Skin Care and Waxing Studio for a bit of primping and pampering. They offer a wide variety of services and I adore them all.

The studio is a full of professional estheticians that provide a relaxing environment and do everything they can to make you feel comfortable.

Last year, on a whim I decided to deviate from my old waxing studio (OC Waxing) and try Rescue since it was a few miles closer to home. I've been a loyal client ever since. Not only was it more affordable, but they offered many other incredible services and the girls were absolutely amazing.

I've also splurged on a couple of facials since stumbling upon Rescue and learned a ton about my skin from the esthetician. Throughout high school I suffered from acne and assumed I had oily skin as a result; however during my facial I learned that my skin is incredibly dehydrated. My skin was desperately craving the moisturizer I'd been avoiding like the plague. Now, I no longer purchase expensive acne creams or lotions and my skin looks better than it ever has.

Needless to say, I don't feel the need to go anywhere else for my waxing and skin care needs. Rescue is where it's at.

Perks of the Golden State

It's always sunny in Philadelphia  California.

One of the best benefits of living in Orange County is the weather. Everyone continues to run around clad in a pair of shorts and a tee-shirt long after we've kissed summer goodbye.
Last year, I was dying for summer to end. The weather refused to cool down until well after autumn had "officially" begun. At the time, I was super bummed out because fall is my absolute favorite season, but now that we're in the final stages of the winter season, I'm anxious to feel the summer sun on my face.

With summer FINALLY around the corner it's time to start thinking about the perfect summer wardrobe. Although I have two closets overflowing with cute clothes, a girl can never turn down a new sundress and a pair of shoes. Especially the shoes.

With that frame of mind, I went out and promptly purchased a new sundress and a pair of shoes.

Now, I'm more than ready for the summer sun. Bring on the heat!
