Feeling a Little Blue

But definitely not down in the dumps.
It's finally here! I've waited for 90 degree weather and, although the weatherman predicts April showers by the end of the weekend, I don't care!
I got to wear a sundress today and I couldn't be more tickled pink.

I accessorized my pretty, blue sundress with my gold-leaf, snap-on bracelet from Forever 21.
It was one of the best purchases I've ever made.

I've been on an earring kick ever since Easter and found these little gems hidden in back of my jewelry box. So I dusted off the cobwebs and put 'em to good use.

This is one of my favorite purses that I own. I have fallen in love with the feminine look of cross-body bags, but they never seem to fit half of what I need in them.
This cross-body bag fits everything! Okay, maybe not everything... but a good deal more than the other cross-body bags I own.

Maybe if I close my eyes and wish hard enough, I wont have to break out the rain coat and umbrella on Sunday.
If only everything was that easy...

Throwback Thursday, Part 7

Last year was great. All of my friends were finally 21 and we partied like it was everyone's birthday, all the time. 

We never really needed a reason to throw a party, but every party always had a theme. 

Why? Because it's better that way.

The craziest party that we threw last year had to be the Jersey Shore Party. I've never really liked the show, but I definitely enjoyed dressing the part.

Okay, that's a lie. I changed into reindeer jammies the second we arrived.

This was also the night that my first-ever "duck face" was documented. Truth be told, I'm not sure I've taken another one since.

I'm pretty sure that my sister picked up my slack in the dress up department. Her "poof" was ridiculous!

As with most crazy parties, the night didn't end exactly the way we had planned.
There was a lot of crying, some screaming, and I'm pretty sure an ambulance was called at some point. Thankfully, the camera wasn't around to document our night going downhill.
My advice? You don't have to drink to have fun and if you do drink, moderation is key.

Throwback Thursday, Part 6

Graduation Day.

For many, it's an accomplishment.

For others, it's a stepping stone.

For me and my friends, it's a reason to party.

So when high school finally ended that's exactly what we did.

 We hugged...

We contemplated our futures...

We jumped for joy...

 And we lit the fireplace in the backyard...

To burn all of our schoolwork in a true we're-done-with-high-school fashion.

Sadly, many of us parted ways after that summer...

But at least we'll always have the memories.

Submarina

I eat sandwiches for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Okay, maybe that's a bit of an exaggeration, but I'm hardly one to turn a sandwich down. Unless it's ham. I'm not really the biggest fan of ham.
I am a huge fan of a little sandwich shop named Submarina.

Although Subway is pretty delicious and Quiznos had my heart for awhile,  Submarina is by far my new favorite. 

TJ has been eating here for years and a few days ago, he finally decided to bring me to try it out.
I couldn't get enough. I'm ashamed to say that I continued to eat my sandwich long after I should have stopped. It was like a good book; I didn't want to put it down!

Given that Submarina is a California Sub shop, I thought their CA coastal map was adorable. TJ and I spent a majority of our time trying to identify all of the landmarks. Surprisingly, we knew most of them. 

Unfortunately, I didn't get any pictures of the food simply because every last bite was eaten before we even reached the table. Another exaggeration on my part, but if you ever get the chance to try the food you'll probably think it's believable.

Spring, Sprang, Sprung

Spring is in the air.

Warm weather and pretty flowers have finally arrived. It's only taken forever. 

This year, spring is bringing many changes including the front yard landscape of TJ's parent's house. It's been years since they've planted anything new, but that's all about to change. TJ is bound and determined to give the front yard some much needed TLC. 

So with a spring in my step, I accompanied TJ to the local Home Depot to pick out some pretty flowers.

Naturally, I had to take a picture of everything he liked so we could report back to his parents...

But I went a little crazy.

We may have been looking to decorate his parents house, but I couldn't help falling in love with these flowers. They are a must when I finally have a place of my own.

These, on the other hand, we TJ's favorites. He loved the unique-ness of the blue center and the rich purple petals.

This was my absolute favorite flower that I saw. Although I'm excited about the warm weather that comes along with spring (and ultimately summer), autumn will always be my favorite season and this orange-hued daisy screams fall. 

I'm still trying to figure out what flower it is though. I may not be on my own yet, but I need them asap. In my room, on my desk at work, as a centerpiece on the dining room table... heck, I'll plant them in my parent's front yard if I have to.
